It doesn’t look fun or convenient. It looks awkward and uncomfortable, a bit difficult, and I want to know what happens when this guy accidentally runs over his own foot with the rear wheel.

I agree it looks uncomfortable, but if I ever saw one lying around, I would totally want to try it out! I bet the comfort factor would keep me from staying on too long. It seems especially weird when he stops to talk to those guys and he is stuck in his bike frame and can’t sit up.
